New Zealand Announces Packed Home Cricket Schedule Featuring Australia, England, West Indies, and South Africa

New Zealand is gearing up for an exciting home summer of cricket in 2025-26, welcoming Australia, England, South Africa, and the West Indies for a series of matches across multiple formats. The New Zealand Cricket (NZC) announced the schedule, which also includes a twin white-ball series for the women's team against South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Black Caps' Schedule Highlights

  • T20I Series vs Australia: The summer begins with three T20 International (T20I) matches against Australia, starting on October 1st.
  • White-Ball Series vs England: Following the series against Australia, England will tour for three T20Is (starting October 18th) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) (starting October 26th).
  • Multi-Format Tour vs West Indies: The West Indies will then arrive for a comprehensive tour, including five T20Is (starting November 5th), three ODIs (starting November 16th), and three Tests (starting December 6th).

White Ferns' Home Season

The New Zealand Women's team, known as the White Ferns, will have a busy home season consisting of 14 white-ball games, commencing early next year, after the ODI World Cup 2025 in India and Sri Lanka.

Key Fixtures for the White Ferns:

  • T20I Series vs Zimbabwe: The White Ferns will host Zimbabwe for the first time in a three-match T20I series, beginning on February 25th.
  • ODI Series vs Zimbabwe: This will be followed by a three-match ODI series, part of the next ICC Women's Championship 2025-29, starting on March 5th.
  • T20I Series vs South Africa: A five-match T20I series against South Africa will be played as double-headers alongside the men's teams, running concurrently from March 15th to 25th. The White Ferns will also play three additional T20Is against South Africa between March 29th and April 4th.

NZC Chief Executive's Remarks

"It's great to welcome such a diverse range of opponents for both the Blackcaps and White Ferns, and especially pleasing for NZC to host the first-ever series between Zimbabwe and New Zealand women," said NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink. He also highlighted the opportunity for fans to watch top-tier cricket across major centers, especially with the doubleheaders against South Africa.

New Zealand pace bowler Kyle Jamieson described the upcoming season as a "marquee summer," emphasizing the high level of competition and the opportunity to play in front of home crowds.
